Sanctions for the industry were mostly surmountable.
Sectoral sanctions on the supply of equipment for Russian oil and gas companies introduced last summer are only partially limiting the amount of imports "under sanctions" from the EU and the US, according to the World Trade Center. The lack of detail of the ban and long-term nature of many contracts contributed to mitigating the limitations. More significant factor in the fall of supply could become a weakening of the rouble.
