Vladimir Markin: I do not see any big risk from the sanctions.

The threat of expanding the sanctions against Russia has no effect on the pipes supply into Europe, Vladimir Markin, the President of the United Metallurgical Company (OMK), stated in an interview with Itar -Tass. A new pipe plant in U.S. Houston also continues to work. But the future prospects of the Russian pipe companies will depend on the start of "Sila Sibiri" construction – a pipeline to China with four thousand miles in length.

- How did You survive 2013 – with the devaluation of the ruble and the economic slowdown?

- The revenues for the year amounted to 105 billion roubles, 6% less than in 2012. About 70 % were the pipe products, 12% - wheels, another 12% - connecting parts and pipe fittings, 3% - the shocks, the rest - other products.
