Donetsk People’s Republic can pay for consumed gas on its own

Authority of the Donetsk People’s Republic have stated that it can pay for gas on its own, but Kiev must fulfill payment obligations, if it considers Donbass its territory, the envoy of the Donetsk People’s Republic Dennis Pushilin in the contact group said on Thursday.

"The Ukraine continues to state that Donbass is its territory, in this case it is obliged to fulfill its payment obligations (for gas), if not, then Kiev thus recognizes that the Donetsk People’s Republic is independent. According to the Minsk agreements, it is clearly indicated that economic issues should be solved within the groups, but their regulation hasn’t been defined until now,"- said Pushilin.
