In 2012, Rosneft paid 2.9 billion rubles for 5 shelf sites

The company bought on non-tender basis 5 licenses for the Perseyevsky, Fedynsky, Central-Barentsevsky, Pomorsky and Northern-Pomorsky-2 sites located at the Barents (Pechora) Sea shelf. Their extractable reserves are 2.9 billion tons in oil equivalent. Rosneft announced about granting of the licenses for the Pomorsky and Northern-Pomorsky-2 sites in the end of November. The licenses expire on November 23 2042. Rosneft will develop Perseyevsky together with Statoil.
