Turkmenistan to promise to dramatically increase production and export of gas

In 2013, Turkmenistan will increase the gas production to 75-80 billion cubic meters due to the launch of the giant gas deposit Galkynysh and increase supplies to China, the Deputy Minister of Oil and Gas Industry and Mineral Resources of Turkmenistan Annageldy Mametyazov stated at the oil and gas summit of the CIS states in Paris.

According to the official, it is expected that with the launch of the first stage of the Galkynysh field Turkmenistan will increase its total gas production by 5-10 billion cubic meters per year. Last year, the production of Turkmen gas was about 70 billion cubic meters.
