In Russia, the shale gas should be used for the region gasification.

Kirill Molodtsov, the Deputy Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation, participated in the discussion of the new technologies for the extraction of hydrocarbons in Russia, which took place on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the website of the Ministry of Energy reported.

In his speech the deputy head of the RF Ministry of Energy recalled the strategic importance of the unconventional oil reserves development: "Unconventional oil reserves are one of the major potential of the oil industry. These include stocks, "shale oil", as well as viscous oil".
