Cargo shipment in Azerbaijan fell by 4% in January –April 2016

In January –April 2016 the volume of cargo shipment by all types of transport made up 66 mln 49.2 thousand tons in Azerbaijan, by 3.8% less than in January –April 2015.

In January –April 2016 the volume of non-oil shipment fell by 0.3% to 47.2 mln tons.

The stake of non-Government transportation enterprises made up 82.1%, the Government sector-17.9%.

In January –April 2016, 4 mln 598.3 thousand tons were shipped by railway, by 25.5% less than in January –April 2015.

In January –April 2016, 1 mln 656.9 thousand tons of cargo was shipped by sea (-36.1%), road transport- 39 mln 562 thousand  tons (+2.8%), 46.4 thousand tons by air (-24.4%).

The domestic oil pipelines pumped 14 mln 906.6 thousand tons of oil in January –April 2016 (-4.1%). The stake of BTC made up 78.6% of the entire pumping volume or 11 mln 717 thousand tons.
