Naftogas has lost control over Ukrtatnafta – Kobolev

Naftogas has fully lost control over Ukrtatnafta after the change of the law on joint stock companies, the chairman of Naftogas, A. Kobolev, said.

Delegates say that they helped Naftogas that holds the state package of Ukrnafta to gain control over this company. On the other hand, these amendments “helped” to fully lose control over another important company – Ukrtatnafta.

Kobolev said that with the current market environment the oil processing complex of Ukrtatnafta is attractive.

With low oil prices and current high prices for gasoline in the Ukraine, this is quite a profitable business. We have fully lost control over Ukrtatnafta and it is almost impossible to return it now, he said.

The control over Ukrtatnafta allows Privat group to influence on the business of Ukrnafta.

Anyway Ukrnafta will have to agree with I. Kolomoisky on the processing of this oil at the only existing oil processing plant – Ukrtatnafta, A. Kobolev, said.
