Blocking package of Bashneft transferred to Bashkortostan

Vladimir Putin has signed a decree on the transfer of blocking stake of Bashneft, nationalized last year, to Bashkiria. A few days before this, the RBC talked with the head of the republic Rustem Khamitov.

- Today it was announced that President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the transfer of 25.01% of Bashneft to Bashkiria, the Government was instructed to transfer these shares to the republic during the next two months. Do you have an understanding of when this process will be completed? Whether the republic will have time to become a shareholder of the oil company before the shareholders' meeting on June 30?

- The algorithm of the work is lined up to complete everything by the meeting of shareholders to obtain a decision on dividends that should be paid to the republic and to get them in August-September. We need the money to replace costs that were carried out by the Charitable Fund “Ural”.

- What kind of amount will it be?

- Dividends are declared - about 20 billion rubles. If 25% of the shares will belong to us, it is easy to calculate that it is 5 billion rubles.
