Intesa Sanpaolo discusses a number of contracts with Rosneft

The Italian bank group Intesa Sanpaolo discuses contracts with the value of a few bln euro with Rosneft, chairman of Intesa, A. Fallico, said.

A. Fallico said in October 2014 that Rosneft and Intesa are long-standing partners, in particular, they are large shareholders of the Italian producer of car wheels Pirelli. The bank is ready t support the investment of Rosneft in Italy.

4 months ago the bank issues a 350 mln euro loan for Gazprom, Mr. Fallico said.

“2 our clients told us they have won the tenders in the infrastructure sector – one contract for 700 mln euro, another one for 150 mln euro. Our mission is the support of the Italian business in Russia. Intesa Sanpaolo is the 2nd by market capitalization in Europe and the 1st by liquidity”, Mr. Fallico added.
