6 companies applied for pipe laying for Nord Stream-2
6 companies have applied for pipe laying for the offshore part of Nord Stream-2, the financial director of Nord Stream AG, Paul Korkoran, said.
These are the companies from different countries. By the end of the summer we will choose participants, in September will sign contracts, he said.
He said that another 3-4 companies participate in the tender for logistics projects in the framework of Nord Stream-2.
Nord Stream-2 presupposes the construction of 2 branches of the gas pipeline with the total capacity of 55 bln cubic m of gas a year from the coast of Russia via the Baltic Sea to Germany. According to the schedule, pipe laying works are to start in 2018.
It is planned to be constructed near Nord Stream.
