South Stream suspended in Bulgaria until compliance with EU rules

The design and the construction of the “South Stream” gas pipeline are suspended until it complies with the legislative requirements of the EU. President of Bulgaria R.Plevneliev said.
“The president is worried about the continuation of operations at “South Stream” despite the temporary suspension of the project,”it is said in a statement.
Earlier, the president of Bulgaria said that he supported the construction of the project, if all formalities were settled.
