Gazprom discusses antimonopoly claims with the EC

Deputy chairman of the Gazprom’s Board Alexander Medvedev held talks with the European Commissioner for Competition Margrethe Vestager on Thursday. In this regard, the company made a random mailout of message with quotes of Medvedev.

"Today we had a fruitful meeting with Commissioner Vestager, during which we exchanged with preliminary estimates of the Commission’s Statement of Objections," - said Medvedev.

"Obviously, much remains to be done. In particular, we disagree with the conclusions of the Commission, when it says about the allegedly inflated prices - especially in circumstances where our prices are close to record low for our customers throughout Europe," - he added.
