Kazakhmys increases sales of copper by 38 thousand tons

In the first half of the year Kazakhmys demonstrated steady production results in compliance with its annual plan. At the same time, the financial results reflect the reduction of metal prices and the growth of the prime cost of the production.

In the first half of the year sales of copper products increased by 38 thousand tons, compensated for the reduction of metal prices and resulted in an increase of the profit from sales to $1.571 billion. The average sales price made up $7.508 thousand per ton compared to $8.253 thousand in the first half of 2012. The sales increased due to higher production volumes and reduction of amount of finished goods.
