Most of the world longest wells belong to Sakhalin 1 project

Currently 8 of 10 world deepest wells belong to the consortium of Sakhalin 1 project, Exxon Neftegaz Limited press-service reports. In 2013, the company’s drilling program celebrates its 10th anniversary. In particular, in June they completed construction of well Z-42 with length of 12,700 m, fluctuation of the face from the vertical for 11,739 m. They needed only 73 days for construction, and shifting was performed with high grade of precision.

This year the company completed construction of the most complicated multi-hole well drilled at the Russian well  ever. It was the start of the program for drilling of multi-hole wells at the Chaivo deposit of the project.
