Yatsenyuk asks for money from the EU and IMF to pay for gas

The Prime Minister of the Ukraine Arseny Yatsenyuk has acknowledged that money, accumulated in Ukrainian accounts, is not enough to pay for Russian gas.

In this regard, Kiev hopes that the EU and the IMF will help it to pay off the debt to Moscow. Yatsenyuk noted that the accounts of the Ukraine have $3.1 billion, but this "is not enough to feel financially comfortable".

Kiev insists on the need of additional financial aid from Europe and the IMF. Yatsenyuk stressed that the Ukraine couldn’t cope on its own in this situation, talks on the extra assistance have already begun, but the details wouldn’t be disclosed for a while
