Sanctions on South-Kirinsky deposit to lead to difficulties in LNG supply Japan

​The sanctions of the West on Russia have already led to the shutdown of a number of joint projects of the Russian companies with the Western partners in the fuel and energy sector but it doesn’t mean that they won’t be realized. Nevertheless there might be some consequences due to the delay in realization, the deputy Minister of Energy of Russia, A. Yanovssky, said.

He said that the sanctions on the South-Kirinsky deposit might lead to difficulties in LNG supply Japan. The sanctions resulted in the shutdown of a few project realized by our and European companies. The plans will be realized anyway, the question is with what partners, Yanovsky said.

He enumerated a number of frozen projects, in particular, the project on the development of the South-Kirinsky deposit in the Sea of Okhotsk.
