KMG wants to agree with China on loan for Shymket refinery without state guarantees

KazMunayGaz will try to obtain an agreement from the Chinese side to remove requirement of a state guarantee for a loan, aimed to finance the project of reconstruction of the Shymkent refinery, chairman of KMG Sauat Mynbayev said on Monday.

"We will go to China on Shymken on the eve of your trip (25 November), and the issue of removing the requirements of the state guarantee, which hasn’t previously assumed, but then the Chinese side put forward the condition of its presentation, was raised at your level many times," - Mynbayev said at the selector meeting in the Government, responded to the question of the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Karim Massimov on the financing of projects for the reconstruction of three major refineries in the country.
