Consortium of Kashagan developers to eliminate causes of oil production delay

Total’s president Christophe de Margerie, as a member of the consortium of the Kashagan project developers, has assured President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev that all causes of the oil production delay will be eliminated at the field, the press centre of the Kazakh President reported.

“The issues of the current activity of the company in Kazakhstan and its participation in production sharing agreement on the North-Caspian project were discussed during the meeting. The parties also touched situation with production at the Kashagan field. In this connection, the Total’s head assured that participants of the agreement would make all reasonable efforts to eliminate the causes of the production delay,” – the report says.
