Ministry of Energy offers to continue phased increase of gas MET

The phased increase of natural gas MET with reference to the specifics of extraction conditions, as well as to the price conditions on the global and domestic markets should be continued, a draft energy strategy of Russia through until 2035, prepared by the Ministry of Energy, says.

"It is necessary to continue the gradual increase of natural gas MET, with its reference to the specifics of the production conditions and price situation on the domestic and global markets, and in the future - to create conditions for transfer to rental tax system in the gas industry," - the document, published on the Ministry of Energy’s website, says.
