KazTransGas and akimat of the Karaganda region to cooperate in the sphere of coal methane exploration

The national operator in the field of gas and gas supply KazTransGas and the akimat of the Karaganda region signed a Memorandum of Cooperation in Karaganda, which main objective is joint implementation of the investment project for the the exploration and production of coal bed methane in the Karaganda basin. According to KazTransGas, ther document was signed by the akim of the Karaganda region, Baurjan Abdishev and KazTransGas’ CEO, Serіk Sultangali.
According to the information, the memorandum was adopted pursuant to the instructions of the state’s head on necessity of gas supply to Astana, the Karaganda region and northern regions of the country.
