Mikhail Gutseriev resigns from being Russneft’s general director

Head of Russneft Mikhail Gutseriev has transferred operational control over the company in the hands of Oleg Gordeev, who previously was vice president and now heads its Board of Directors. The market believes that the owner of Russneft and Nephthysa "is tired" of operating activities, and the company explained that he would focus on strategy. Experts believe that this is a logical step, which will allow Mr. Gutseriev come to grips with the union of his assets.

Russneft has informed in its report for 2014 that its founder and owner Mikhail Gutseriev resigned as president of the company on February 2. Instead of him, the former head of the company’s Board of Directors and vice president of Russneft Oleg Gordeev (oversaw the economic bloc) was appointed, and Mr. Gutseriev headed the Board of Directors.
