Gold extraction to be held near Kamensk-Uralsky

​Gold extraction at  the volume of a few dozen tons is to be held at the Maminsky deposit near the Kamensk-Uralsky. The affiliate of Polymetal holds geological exploration at 17 license sites at the Urals uplift. The most perspective of them is the Maminsky deposit.

The Maminsky deposit is being actively developed. The geological exploration has been completed. Now we hold the technical and economic assessment. By June 2016 we will receive the data on reserves at this deposit, the managing director of “North Urals Gold” CJSC, A. Novikov, said.

The deposit is located in the Sverdlovsk region, 70 km off Yekaterinburg and 30 km off Kamensk-Uralsky.

By the preliminary assessment, the reserves of the deposit make up over 20 tons of gold. Active extraction is to start soon.

According to Rosnedra, the balance gold reserves in the Sverdlovsk region make up over 370 tons. On the results of 2015 the Sverdlovsk region was the 10th among the gold mining regions.

“North Urals Gold” CJSC also develops the Vorontsovsky gold ore deposit in Krasnoturiinsk.
