Transneft has started the construction of an offset from ESPO

​The center of ESPO project management has started the welding and assembly works at the linear part of the pipeline-offset from ESPO to the Komsomolsk oil refinery.

The construction of 293 km of linear part, head oil pumping station with the reservoir park of 80 thousand cubic m, 2 intermediary oil pumping stations and objects of external energy supply is planned. The realization of the project will allow to provide the supply of oil to the Komsomolsk oil refinery by the system of Transneft at the volume of up to 8 mln tons a year.

The oil pipeline-offset will go by the territory of the Amur, Komsomolsk and Solnechny districts of the Khabarovsk region. The route is characterized with a good number of boggy and watered sites, in total 139 water barriers will be overcome, including 4 large ones – via the Selgon, Kharpi, Alkan, Khevchen rivers. The construction works at the boggy and watered areas are planned to be held only in winter.

The welding and assembly works at the route of the oil pipeline started in Feb 2016 at the site 76.1-136.2 km. The preparation for the start of welding in March at the sites 136.2-222.4 km and 222.4-293 km is held. The main volume of the welding and assembly works is planned to be held in winter 2016-2017.
