Rosneft to sell controlling stake in Pirelli to Chinese

A controlling stake in Italian tire manufacturer Pirelli will be sold to China National Chemical Corp.

To date, Rosneft is the major shareholder of Pirelli.

Rosneft owns 50% in Camfin (Pirelli is part of it). Russia bought a block of shares for EUR 552.7 million in 2014. Another 50% of Camfin are distributed between two Italian banks and an investment company, belonging to Tronchetti Provera, head of Pirelli.
