Transneft has shut down oil shipment from Kozmino because of the storm

​Transneft has shut down oil shipment at the port of Kozmino because of the storm, the official representative of the company, I. Demin, said.

There is a storm alert in Kozmino. Wind speed is up to 19 m/sec. The shipment is shutdown. We expect the weather to change for the better by the evening, he said.

He added that oil shipment is held by the schedule at the rest ports.

Transneft-Kozmino port Ltd is the final point of the ESPO pipeline system. It is meant for oil acceptation by the pipeline and railroad and its transshipment onto the modern sea vessels. The putting into operation of the first and then the second stages of the ESPO pipeline system and a port in the Kozmina Bay allowed to export oil of a new perspective sort ESPO to the APR.
