The Ministry of Energy of Russia awaits the start of Turkmen oil transit via Makhachkala-Novorossiysk pipeline

In Q3 2013, the Makhachkala-Novorossiysk pipeline can accept oil not only from Lukoil, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan but from Turkmenistan as well. The capacity of the Makhachkala-Novorossiysk pipeline is 7.5 – 8 million tons. Earlier Transneft claimed in the application for calculation of the tariff for the pipeline that in 2013 it’s going to transport via the route 4.2 million tons of oil, including 1.1 million tons of Russian oil from the Korchagin deposit by Lukoil and 3.12 million tons of transit oil.
