Russian oil companies hold negotiations on return to Iran

Russian oil companies actively negotiate on participation in projects in Iran, the country's Deputy Oil Minister Hossein Amir Zamaninia said on Thursday. For a while, only Lukoil officially confirmed this. Tehran plans to attract investors with more long-term contracts. According to experts, the Iranian market will be interesting for the Russian oil industry, despite funding problems because of the sanctions.

The Iranian authorities discuss with Lukoil its participation in oil projects in the country, the Iran's Deputy Oil Minister Hossein Amir Zamaninia stated on Thursday. According to him, "the majority of Russian companies have contacted us and get ready for the time when they will be able to return to the projects, the work in which they started".
