Naftogas denies having requested Gazprom to make an advance payment for gas transit

​Naftogas has denied the information that it asked Gazprom to make an advance payment for gas transit so as the Ukraine would be able to pay for gas purchase and load in into its underground gas storages, the press secretary of Naftogas, A. Osmolovskaya, said. “This is not true. The parties discussed the conditions of the winter package in Minsk. It was not about the advance payment for gas transit”, she said.

Naftogas has been reported to have asked Gazprom to make an advance payment for future gas transit to Europe, sources familiar with the process of negotiations of the heads of the companies in Minsk told Kommersant. On Friday A. Kobolev and A. Miller unexpectedly held a meeting – for the first time since May 2014. They used to meet only at the 3-party negotiations.
