Chelyabinsk electrometallurgical works launches ferrosilicium furnace

The Chelyabinsk electrometallurgical plant has presented an ore-smelting furnace, made by Norwegian company Vatvedt.

The most advanced manufacturing furnace was launched at the leading ferroalloy enterprise in Russia. The main contractor of the project was the Norwegian company Vatvedt.

The new furnace enables it to produce ferroalloys with lower cost due to the saving of electricity . This in turn allows ChEMK to enter the heating energy market.
