Rosneft will use Sakhalin-1 in Northern Chaivo development

The authorized body for the Sakhalin-1 project has allowed Rosneft to use the infrastructure of the project for the Northern Chaivo deposit's development. Sakhalin-1 will be allowed to participate in development of the deposit as well. The Vice Premier of the Sakhalin region, G. Pavlova says that this decision is the most rational and joint efforts will gain much to the project, the region and the whole Russia.

On September 4th 2014, Rosneft began the operation of Northern Chaivo having drilled the first well with depth of 10,875 m and with horizontal displacement of 9,500 m. Now the company finishes drilling of the second well. The awaited daily yield is 2,000 tons at each well. They are going to totally launch at the deposit a cluster of 5 wells.
