Rosneft and Gazprom to fight for 2 subsoil sites in the Nenets Autonomous Area

Rosneft and Gazprom intend for 2 federal deposits in the Nenets Autonomous Area. The auction for 2 deposits – Layavozhsky and Vainevissky – is likely to be announced until the end of 2015. Now Rosnedra is working out the order on holding the tender. Until that Rosneft and Gazprom applied for 11 subsoil sites, however, 2 applications for the deposits coincided. A serious fight between the companies is expected. The Layavozhsky deposit has C1+C2 hydrocarbons reserves of 9.8 mln tons of oil and 140.1 bln cubic m of gas. It was discovered in 1971.
