Turkmenistan implements large gas chemical project on coast of the Caspian Sea

Work on investment project, provided for construction of a gas chemical complex for the production of polyethylene and polypropylene in the coastal village Kyyanly in the Caspian region of Turkmenistan, is carried out, Deputy Prime Minister Baimyrat Hojamuhammedov, which is responsible for development of the fuel and energy complex of Turkmenistan, reported at a recent government meeting in Ashgabat.

According to him, implementation of the new project is provided for by the Program of oil and gas industry development through until 2030.

The report notes that the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov gave a number of instructions for the FEC development and attraction of foreign investment in this area.
