The Ukraine threatens Russia with Court proceedings

The head of Naftogas, A. Kobolev, said that if a compromise is not found concerning the Russian gas supply, his company will turn to Court proceedings.

“If a compromise is found, it will be good… I hope for the better. But if we fail, there will be Court proceedings with financial consequences for Gazprom”, he said.

It is clear as 3 bln of euro bonds that the Government of Kiev is to pay Russia is a good amount. It is worth addressing the Court.

“March is coming. The weather might be cold. We hope Gazprom will ship the entire volume of gas that we have prepaid for. We expect certain problems but we are quite optimistic that we will be able to find a correct decision”, Mr. Kobolev said.
