RD KMG increased 2P reserves by 15% in 2015

​As of the end of 2015 the reserves of liquid hydrocarbons (1P) made up 99 mln tons (103 mln tons as of the end of 2014), 3P – 204 mln tons (164 mln tons).

2P reserves “proven+probable” of RD KMG without its stakes in JVs as of the end of 2015 made up 152 mln tons (1.115 bln barrels), by 15% more than at the end of 2014.

The assessment of reserves of liquid hydrocarbons as of December 31st 2015 was held by DeGolyer and MacNaughton (D&M).

According to D&M, 2P liquid hydrocarbons reserves as of December 31st 2015 without the stakes in Kazgermunai, CCEL (Karazhanbasmunai) and PetroKazakhstan Inc. made up 152 mln tons, by 15% more than at the end of 2014 mainly due to the engagement into development of reserves by means of realization of more effective geological-technical measures, including drilling of wells.
