Rosneft plans to sell 19% of shares to strategic investor

The assistant to the President of Russia and chairman of Rosneft’s Board, A. Belousov, considers the main variant of privatization of 19% of shares to be the sale to a strategic investor.

He thinks it will allow to make maximum premium from the sale of shares and now the Government is looking for such investor.

It is impossible to offer such volume, only 4-5% is possible, so the main way of privatization of Rosneft’s shares is to look for a strategic investor.

It is difficult to sell such a large package in the market in the current conditions.
