Oil extraction at Filanovsky deposit planned to start in August

Oil extraction at the Filanovsky deposit in the Astrakhan region is planned to start in August 2016, was said at the meeting of Lukoil’s head, V. Alekperov, with the Governor of the Astrakhan region, A. Zhilkin.

All platforms for the deposit were constructed at the shipbuilding sites in the Astrakhan region. Currently the construction and start-up and commissioning works go on at the offshore objects.

Static equipment testing is over at the drilling complex, preparation for the installation of water separation columns goes on.

The Filanovsky deposit is located in the northern part of the water area of the Caspian Sea, 150 km off Astrakhan. Recoverable oil reserves make up 128.6 mln tons, gas – 29.8 bln cubic m. The maximum project oil extraction is to make up 6 mln tons a year.
