China increased import of Russian oil by 4.4% by Skovorodino-Mokhe
In Q1 2016 China increased the import of Russian oil b the Skovorodino-Mokhe pipeline by 4.4% against Q1 2015 to 5.31 mln tons.
As of April 20th, 82.38 mln tons of oil for $56.6 bln have been shipped by the Skovorodino-Mokhe pipeline to China.
The shipment of Russian oil by the Skovorodino-Mokhe pipeline started in 2011 when the agreement was reached between Rosneft, Transneft and CNPC. In 2013 the parties agreed to increase oil pumping to 30 mln tons.
Previously China was ready to import about 27 mln tons of Russian oil in 2016, in particular, 16.5 mln tons by the Skovorodino-Mokhe pipeline. On the results of 2015, 16 mln tons of oil were pumped by the pipeline.
