Gazprom plans to increase gas extraction by 8% in 2016

​The plan of gas extraction of Gazprom for 2015 was approved at the volume of 485.36 bln cubic m but due to the demand fall was corrected to 414.1 bln cubic m.

The approved gas extraction plan of Gazprom for 2016 makes up 452.45 bln cubic m, by 8% exceeds the actual level of gas extraction in 2015, the deputy chairman of Gazprom, V. Markelov, said.

The actual volume of gas extraction in 2015 made up 418.5 bln cubic m, including 8.4 bln cubic m of APG.

Mr. Markelov said that the maximum level of daily gas extraction – 1 bln 555 mln cubic m – was reached on October 22nd 2015 at the potentially possible level of 1 bln 615 mln cubic m. The plan of gas condensate extraction for 2015 was approved at 15 mln tons, the actual production made up 15.3 mln tons, by 0.9 mln tons higher than in 2014. Oil extraction in 2015 reached the record rate of 36 mln tons, by 0.7 mln tons higher than in 2014. If to add the stakes in dependent enterprises, oil extraction made up 53.5 mln tons, Markelov added.

He said that Yamal is one o the most important strategic oil and gas bearing regions of Russia. By 2030 up to 360 bln cubic m of gas might be extracted there. The Bovanenkovo oil and gas condensate deposit is one of the largest ones by its reserves and the most studied.
