Yuri Trutnev: Gazprom needs to increase work on the further exploration of gas fields
Gazprom needs to increase the amount of works on further exploration of gas fields in Kamchatka. This was said by the Deputy Prime Minister and Plenipotentiary Representative of the President in the Far Eastern Federal District Yuri Trutnev after the meeting on the establishment of the priority development area "Kamchatka" and development of transport and engineering infrastructure in the Kamchatka region.
As part of the gas supply program in the Kamchatka region the work on transfer of power facilities to gas continues. In the current heating season, 6 boilers should be transferred to natural gas. The works on their reconstruction and preparation for gas supply were completed in 2014-2015. However, it is not possible to launch them because of the unavailability of automated gas distribution station Elizovo, the construction and commissioning of which is carried out by Gazprom Mezhregiongaz. After the organization of the gas supply to boilers in Elizovo and a number of other rural settlements gas company should begin the construction of automated gas distribution stations in the village of Razdolny, where one of the grounds of the priority development area ( Zelenovsk lakes) are located. However, Gazprom stated about the deficit of gas volumes at existing fields in the Sobolev district. If before the gas supply program provided for the supply of gas to the existing and prospective projects of gas consumption in the amount of 750 million cubic meters, now Gazprom marked the limit level of the production in the amount of 420 million cubic meters per year. It would call into question the further transfer of power facilities to gas and the implementation of a number of large investment projects in the region.
