Gazprom: gas price to rise following the oil price
Alexander Medvedev, deputy chairman of Gazprom, said that the export gas price will significantly rise soon following the oil prices.
The top-manager said that the lowest gas and oil prices have been passed already.
There is a positive dynamics in the raw materials market, oil price has overcome its minimal rates from the beginning of the year. It will lead to the growth of gas export price, Mr. Medvedev is sure.
Gazprom hopes that oil price will not fall anymore and that will raise gas price.
For the past months the price of the Russian gas shipped to the CIS significantly fell on the background of the fall in the oil market. If in the beginning of the year gas price made up $200/thousand cubic m, in April it was $180, in May-$160.
Now Gazprom is sure that there is a potential for gas price growth this year.
