Kazakhstan hopes to stabilize oil production in 2017 and then to increase it

Kazakhstan expects to stabilize the oil production in the country in 2017 and to increase it in the future. This was stated by the Energy Minister of Kazakhstan K. Bozumbayev on May 24, 2016.
The oil industry remains a major source of income to the budget of Kazakhstan. However, for a while the oil production in Kazakhstan falls - in 2015, the production decreased by 2% to 66.518 million tons, in 2016, this trend continues. In January-April 2016, 22.141 million tons of oil were produced in Kazakhstan, which is by 2.2% less than in January-April 2015.
