Gazprom to supply everybody with liquefied gas

The Russian state holding company Gazprom chooses a site for construction of a new LNG plant.

The enterprise is planned to be built in Russia. Supposedly, facilities will be mounted at the Baltic plant in the Leningrad region. Earlier, the Deputy Chairman of the Gazprom’s Management Alexander Medvedev said the LNG enterprise might be constructed in the European part of Russia, near consumers from the EU.

The day before Gazprom refused to participate in privatization of the Greek national gas distributor DEPA. The Russian state company explained its decision with “absence of guarantees that financial condition of the company won’t become worse by the moment of the deal conclusion”.
