RusAl strikes into energy

In an effort to save inefficient aluminium plants in the Russian Federation UC RusAl is ready to acquire a large power plant, a part of “RusGidro”, Volga HPP. An alternative variant is a switch to direct agreements. The scheme is not profitable for powermen.  But RusAl has managed to reach low tariffs for another bad asset, Bogoslovsky plant, and purchase the Bogoslovsky TPP from “KEC-Holding”. RusAl also negotiates on an acquisition of Ondskaya HPP from “Gazprom Energoholding”, Kommersant writes.
