In H1, Kazakhmys increase production of copper concentrate by 6.5% to 158.1 thousand tons

In the first six months of 2013, the Kazakh mining company Kazakhmys Plc increased the production of copper concentrate by 6.5% to 158.1 thousand tons and cathode copper by 6.3% to 144.7 thousand tons as compared with the same period of 2012, the company reports.

Besides, in January-June the company produced 50.8 thousand ounces of gold that is by 3.4% less than in the same period of the previous year. The silver production grew by 26.7% to 7.145 million ounces due to processing of more amount of ore and high recovery factor. The production of zinc concentrate decreased by 11.9% to 63.1 thousand tons.
