Mechel starts new round of negotiations with banks and officials

In the coming days, official meetings devoted to turnaround of Mechel are not scheduled. But the debt-burdened company began another round of negotiations with creditors and officials that can lead to the decision of its fate at any moment.

Putin's press secretary, Natalya Timakova reported to the RBC said that meetings on Mechel with the participation of the Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev are not planned in the next week, as well as convocation of the VEB’s supervisory board (debt restructuring scheme involving the state-owned corporation may be approved during it). The Deputy Prime Minister, Arkady Dvorkovich also does not plans to assemble a meeting on the metallurgical company’s debts restructuring either this nor the next week, said his representative Alia Samigullina.
