Buryatia suggests to enlarge state financing of geological exploration for gold

The expenses of the federal budget into geological exploration for gold should be enlarged, the Deputy Chairman of the Government of Buryatia, A. Chepik said at the conference devoted to development of the production forces of Buryatia. The federal budget allocated 220,000 rubles to precious metals and diamonds exploration in Buryatia in 2013, and 352,500 rubles to geological exploration for uranium.

Mr. Chepik thinks that the federal budget should not finance geological exploration for uranium. The companies engaged with uranium production have profits of dozens of millions of rubles now and can perform the work at its own expense.
