Gas turbine power station to be built in Armenia

The Government of Armenia represented by the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of Armenia and “Anaklia IEP Holding” LLC signed an agreement on the construction and operation of a 540 MW capacity gas-fired plant in the territory of Armenia, Xinhua states.

As Armenpress reports, the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources E.Zakharyan said they reached an agreement on the construction of two energy blocks of 270 MW each in the territory of Armenia. “The construction operation will soon start and last 36 months,” Minister said. The generated electric power is supposed to be exported to Georgia.
