MMK earned $159 mln in Q2, 2013

The revenue of Magnitogorsk Iron-and-Steel works under IAS made up $4.1 billion, EBITDA - $693 million and the net profit - $80 million in H1, 2013. It states in the report of the company. The first half of the year was profitable with net income of $159 million in the second quarter. In Q1 the company’s loss was equal to $79 million. According to the company a growth of EBITDA up to $693 million in H1 is due to an increase of sales, the improvement of an assortment and recovery of steel prices on the domestic market, Vedomosti writes.
