Inpex holds negotiations with Rosneft on the development of “Magadan-3”

The Japanese Inpex Corporation is interested in participation in the oil-and-gas project in Eastern Siberia. In particular, it negotiates with “Rosneft” on its possible participation in the development of the “Magadan-3” deposit. A representative of the Japan company Y.Yamashita said.

At present the company owns a minority share in “INC-Zapad”, which implements oil projects in the Irkutsk region, Yamashita said.

Japan South-Sakha Oil Co, a subsidiary of JOGMEC, sold 49% in INC-Zapad to the Japanese corporations of Itochu and Inpex. The new shareholders were about to finance up to 75% of future exploration operation of the company.
